To Restore, To Love, And To Serve

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What can I expect during a Sunday service?

You will find a simple, reverent atmosphere focused on worship and teaching. Our services typically include congregational singing, prayer, the preaching of the gospel, and the observance of the Lord’s Supper. We aim to follow the patterns of worship found in the New Testament.

Why do you sing without instruments?

Following the example of the early church as described in the New Testament, we practice a cappella congregational singing. We believe that the human voice is a beautiful instrument created by God to offer him praise, and this practice encourages every member of the congregation to participate personally and heartily in worship.

How often do you partake in the Lord’s Supper?

We observe the Lord’s Supper (Communion) every Sunday. This weekly practice is a central part of our worship, serving as a time to remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and to reflect on our covenant relationship with Him.

What do I need to wear?

There is no specific dress code. You will see some people in suits and dresses and others in jeans and casual shirts. We invite you to come as you are and focus on the worship experience.

Is childcare available?

Yes, we provide a safe and welcoming environment for children during our services. We offer Bible classes for all ages where children can learn about God’s love through age- appropriate lessons and activities.

How do I become a member?

We believe that according to the New Testament, one becomes a member of Christ’s church through faith, repentance, confession of Jesus as the Son of God, and baptism for the remission of sins. If you have questions about this journey, our elders or ministers would be honored to study the Bible with you.

Are you part of a larger denomination?

We are an independent, self-governing congregation. We do not belong to a central organization or denominational hierarchy. Instead, we seek to be “Christians only,” connected to other congregations through a shared commitment to the authority of the Bible and the headship of Jesus Christ.

Our mission is to honor God by restoring the simple, vibrant faith of the first-century church. We are dedicated to teaching the Word of God with clarity and conviction, fostering a community of genuine love, and serving our neighbors as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. We strive to be Christians only, united by the truth of Scripture and a shared commitment to follow Christ in every aspect of our lives.
